Hello,

Welcome to my painted button-quail website. Why Painted Button-Quail?

Christmas Camp in 2011 at Dartmoor with BOCA was the trip I spotted the Painted Button-Quail up close and personal with my old 100-400mm telephoto zoom lens. All the recent photos are taken by Canon EOS 1DX with 300mm f2.8 prime lens plus a 2x extender. I added macro photos mainly for botanic by using iPhone 4S with Olloclip macro lens. Fish eye and wide angle lens are also used for  landscape photos.

Over the years, I have seen so many beautiful birds and wished that I could capture them on my camera. I have learnt so much more about birds after taking photos of them. I try to keep the images as original as possible with attention to details while I enjoy the artistic side of photography of the birds. Here are some graceful birds for you to enjoy.

If you would like to discuss or comment on any photos about its location and the sighting environment, please go to "Contact Us"  and write to me. I will respond you as soon as possible.

Seasons Greetings

Regards
Surong Gunn
