Brown Falcon in Action - Birds of Prey at Mt Rothwell

Picture
The day we did  Birds Count on Saturday, 20 April 2013 was a good day. As you can see the blue sky really helped the clarity of the photos. A lot of Whistling Kites were in the sky over  Mt Rothwell. I caught a Brown Falcon in action on camera. It was spectacular!  There were two or three of them calling each other all the time. Spotted Harrier was seen by David Torr el. and captured in my camera. The photos were sent to David for identification as someone claimed they spotted  a much lighter coloured bird of prey than Spotted Harrier. A few of Wedged-tailed Eagles also joined with other birds of prey for the day.

Plenty of Whistling Kites

Plenty of Whistling Kites fly over Mt. Rothwell and plentiful Mammals are on the ground. Hopefully  their co-existence makes the world in balance.
